Hi, my name is Nara — founder of PHOCUS IMAGE. I have found in photography a way to capture my perspective on the world. I believe that an image is capable of telling the story of a person, a family, and the world. It is through images that we recognize our truth and the paths we have taken to become who we are today.
Images remind us of who we are throughout every process we go through. In the context of photography, everything matters — the nature that surrounds us, architecture and urbanism, style, fashion, and the behavior of each era. That is why I believe in the essence of photography. No matter how many technological resources exist, it is a smile, a tear, a gesture, or a genuine way of expressing oneself that defines the richness of a photograph.
The act of photographing is an opportunity to step into another person’s world and, through that perspective, discover what connects us as human beings.

Olá, meu nome é Nara — fundadora da PHOCUS IMAGE. Encontrei na fotografia uma forma de registrar a minha maneira de ver o mundo. Acredito que a imagem é capaz de narrar períodos da história de uma pessoa, de uma família e do mundo. É por meio da imagem que reconhecemos a nossa verdade e os caminhos que percorremos até nos tornarmos quem somos hoje.
O registro em imagem tem um papel importante: o de nos lembrar quem somos em qualquer processo que atravessamos. No contexto da fotografia, tudo importa: a natureza que nos cerca, a arquitetura e o urbanismo, o estilo, a moda e o comportamento da época. Por isso, acredito na essência da fotografia. Por mais que existam diversos recursos tecnológicos, é um sorriso, uma lágrima, um gesto ou uma forma genuína de se expressar que caracterizam a riqueza do registro.
Seja em sessões de fotos profissionais, eventos, fotojornalismo, registros de família ou fotografias de natureza e arquitetura, todos eles, sem exceção, carregam a nossa história. Fotografar é ter a oportunidade de entrar no mundo do outro e, por meio desse olhar, encontrar aquilo que nos conecta como humanos.
